Donations

Greenspace relies on support from people who share its vision and believe in its mission. We are proud of the sustained and increasing support we receive. Currently about 18% of Cambria’s population contribute annually.

Recognizing that people’s resources vary, we offer a variety of ways to lend support, some of which provide the giver with tax benefits.

Memorials/Commemoratives

Currently we are raising funds to pay for improvements that will allow us to open the Greenspace Creekside Reserve to the public.

Bricks inscribed with a message or name can be purchased for $500 and will become part of the ‘Patron Path’ leading into the Reserve.

Benches carrying a dedication can be purchased for $2,500 and will be placed in one of our Pocket Parks or other nature reserves.

Donations may also be tied to naming or dedication of particular elements of our nature areas, like a path. Call for details.

Cash Donations and End of Tax Year Donations

Nearly all cash donations will provide tax benefits. They are welcome at all times.

Real Estate

Donation of land increases the amount of forest and open space we can preserve. Alternatively, donated land not suitable for preservation could be sold and the proceeds earmarked for one or more of our programs.

Stocks and Bonds

This is an easy way to donate and gain tax benefits.

Other Gift Items

In the past friends have donated automobiles, jewelry, paintings…whatever. In most cases we sell them and apply the proceeds toward our operating expenses.

Bequests

Greenspace can be remembered in wills and trusts with gifts of cash or property.

Charitable Remainder Trusts and Undivided Partial Interest

We have legal experts who will help answer questions about these methods of transferring assets over time.
